Last weekend I was at the Watercolour Society of Queensland annual exhibition which was held at Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens in Brisbane. It's always a privilege to exhibit there and to see my paintings alongside those of some outstanding watercolourists. This year there seemed to be a higher standard than ever, and so I was delighted that among all this beautiful artwork someone chose my painting "Shyness" to take home. Thanks too to all the people who purchased my greetings and Christmas cards. And an especially big thank you to the volunteers who make this event possible each year. So much goes into preparing, staging and promoting this event and it only happens when people generously give of their valuable time.
