Exhibitions are a bit like number 37 buses. You wait ages for one and then when you're not looking, two come at once! Next week I have ten watercolours ready for "Challenges", the Jumping Ant Arts Group exhibition at Kingaroy Art Gallery from the end of August till October 6th. Simultaneously I have ten watercolours prepared for the Watercolour Society of Queensland annual exhibition which is taking place at Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens in Brisbane from September the 8th to 12th. Here is one of my favourites for the WSQ exhibition: Blue Clematis. I used to grow this flower up the walls of our cottage when we lived in Wales. Although I can grow many exotic plants here in our Queensland garden, the climate is too warm for clematis and so I paint them instead!
