Joyous July

After the long months of lockdown, July saw some return to a semblance of normal life here in Queensland as people began to travel around the state, galleries reopened their doors and paintings, which had been hanging lonely and unseen in the dark for all those months, found admirers when the lights came back on. Three of my watercolours were sold at Shop 38 at Kingaroy Art Gallery during July. It is always a wonderful feeling to find that someone has enjoyed one of my paintings enough to want to buy it. For me, it results in a rush of motivation to get back into the studio and pick up my brushes and try harder. The joy I get from painting is doubled when I think that someone else is now enjoying one of my works. Here they are: Penguins On Parade, Sundance and Autumn Hare.
