I was delighted that someone liked my watercolour "Friends with Benefits" enough to give it a new home. It was part of the current "Homegrown" exhibition at Kingaroy Art Gallery, a display of works by Kingaroy Arts Team members which runs until the end of February. I originally produced the painting when asked to paint something to the theme of "Pollinators" and the title to me perfectly sums up the symbiosis that goes on in that process. The butterflies, bees and flowers all benefit from their association. The best friendships are like that - well balanced with give and take in equal measure. May you find good friends and equal partnerships in life.
