"Challenges" is the title of this year's Jumping Ant Arts exhibition at Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery from the end of August till the 6th of October. What better title to sum up this current period of pandemic which has disrupted lives and livelihoods around the world. And what better way to distract oneself from these challenges than by losing oneself in art? When I'm painting time and worries dissolve. Each watercolour itself presents different challenges. Here is 'Face Off!' one of the ten I've entered into the Challenges exhibition. Here the challenge was creating the sense of movement, of feathers flying and the drama of a fight through the use of colour and contrast.
