April is one of my favourite months here in Queensland. The weather is usually perfect, the heat of summer behind us. It's also a month packed with outdoor events to attend. This weekend it is the garden festival in Wondai and the gallery there is currently hosting an exhibition of garden-themed paintings, including three of mine. Here is "Pink Cascade", a rose-inspired watercolour. After the long drought this summer, the rains came at last and since then the roses in our garden have been racing to catch up and produce as many flowers as they can before winter begins. Walking among them is like passing through a cascade of perfume.
