Magical Morning

We just experienced a magical morning drive up to the nearby Bunyas Mountains. With the recent rain we've been luckily getting in this area, everything was veiled in mystery and mist. Ancient trees, twisted and gnarled, lined the way and seemed to bow as we passed. Others, like an honour guard, stood to attention, straight as steeples piercing the low clouds. Scrub turkeys scurried across the road on important business, and wallabies stopped and stared before bouncing away on invisible pogo sticks!

The purpose of our trip was to drop off some new watercolours and greetings cards at the Bunya store. They have an attractive display of my paintings which were inspired by the birds one commonly sees up there. We had delicious coffee and cake in the adjacent café and then took lots of photographs which are guaranteed to provide lots of inspiration for future paintings. Do visit if you can. It takes you back in time millennia away from modern life to something so much more meaningful. You will even get the opportunity to feed these fellows:
