Two exhibitions at the same time: I must be mad! Yesterday I delivered six watercolours to the Kingaroy Art Gallery for the Jumping Ants Arts group's annual exhibition which opens on Friday.
Tomorrow I deliver twelve watercolours to the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens where the Watercolour Society of Queensland is holding its annual exhibition which also opens on Friday until Sunday.
Double Trouble, the title of this picture which is in the Kingaroy exhibition, about sums it up!
I popped into the Kingaroy Art Gallery this morning when hanging was taking place and was really impressed by how attractive the "Shaking the Cage" exhibition is already looking. It comprises work by a wide variety of artists and artisans - everything from watercolour to pottery and weaving. Worth taking a look if you're in the South Burnett this next month.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the Watercolour Society of Queensland exhibition this weekend. From what I have seen so far there is some outstanding work of a very high quality by some amazingly talented artists. It should be a visual treat. So don't miss it if you're in Brisbane this weekend. It's open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 till 4.
