Home again after a busy weekend in Brisbane at the Watercolour Society of Queensland's autumn exhibition. Many thanks to the people who bought my paintings, including this one of tango dancers titled "It Takes Two". Like tango, art also takes two - the artist to create the work and the audience or buyer to appreciate it. It really is a buzz when someone puts down their hard-earned cash to buy one of my paintings, because it tells me that I have been successful in communicating a mood, an emotion or an atmosphere to someone else. Whenever I think of that painting I can then imagine it on someone's wall, hopefully giving them as much pleasure to look at as it did me to paint.
